The first question is, do you need a new mattress, actually? Pure option is one justification for purchasing a new one. You may have moved into a furnished apartment and need to replace the old mattress that was used. OR maybe you're buying a new bed, and you want to go with a comfortable, new mattress. If not, here are some signs that your old mattress will need to be replaced:
- It is
more than 10 years old. A mattress can last about 7-10 years on average.
- The consistency of your sleep has decreased. Do you struggle to fall and stay asleep at night? Not the only possible cause of this is your mattress, but it's definitely worth thinking about.
If you have actually found that your mattress has lumps, dents where you sleep, or springs sticking out, then it's probably time for a new one. Saggy, lumpy, awkward mattress-

If you ever wake up with a stick neck or a sore
back, don't just blame it on the fact that you get older. You wake up sore. As
you sleep, your mattress can sustain you, so pains such as these could mean
that you need a new one.
